Summer Reading

(K-12) Cobb Summer Reading

The Library Media Education Department has once again partnered with Cobb County’s Smyrna Public Library, and Marietta City Schools to support summer reading.

Students are encouraged to read 20 minutes every day and a total of 15 hours this summer, the recommended amount of time to maintain or even increase reading scores from one grade level to the next.

Students earn digital badges by logging reading in Beanstack (located in Cobb Digital Library under Reading Resources), our year-round reading engagement platform, and can earn prizes at the public libraries as well. Summer reading resources, such as e-books, book suggestions, and more information about the Summer Reading Challenge can be found at https://www.cobbsummerreading.com/.
