Walkers

There are two different types of student walkers: independent and parent/guardian pick-up.  Both types of walkers require the Enrolling Adult to bring their photo ID and complete a walker form in the Front Office.  The Front Office is open from 7:10 AM - 2:45 PM.

  • Independent Walkers are students who have parent/guardian authorization to leave campus on their own at dismissal.  This will be indicated to staff by a specific tag on the student's backpack.
  • Parent/Guardian Pick-Up Walkers are not authorized to leave the building unless an adult is waiting outside of the ASP door with that student's walker sign.  These students are dismissed at 2:15 PM from the ASP door.  All parents and guardians must be ready with the student's walker sign at 2:10 PM.
    • Any student not picked up by 2:25 PM will return to the classroom.  The parent/guardian responsible for pick-up will be required to visit the Front Office with their physical photo ID to pick up their student at the end of dismissal (2:40 PM).

Bicycles

King Springs Elementary School does have a bicycle rack by the main/front doors.  Students who ride a bicycle to school will need to go through the same Independent Walker process (see above) if they will ride the bicycle home without adult supervision.

Off Campus Care

Parents and guardians are welcome to contract a local Off Campus Care business to provide after-school care.  The businesses listed below do send buses to King Springs Elementary School between 2:15 PM and 2:45 PM to pick up students:
