Academic Team

The purpose of the Academic Team is to encourage interested and committed 7th & 8th grade students to participate in team-oriented fun, challenging quiz-bowl team events stressing the academic areas of science, social studies, mathematics, literature, and current events. Participation includes various levels of the PAGE Academic Bowl competition, the Georgia Academic Team Association middle school tournament, and other appropriate tournaments.Sixth grade membership is on an invitation basis depending on available spots on the “B” (novice, JV, etc.) team. The “A” Team is primarily reserved for 8th grade members.

Art Studio Crew

Black History Bowl

The Bowl seeks to raise and deepen the awareness of the vital role played by African Americans in the rich history of our country- by competing with other Metro Atlanta schools in answering a variety of black history-related questions in science, the arts, education, sports, entertainment, civil rights, politics, and more in a fast-paced game show format. 

Boys Choir

Boys Choir provides 6th, 7th, and 8th grade chorus students in the opportunity to sing in an ensemble of only tenor and bass voices. Boys choir will perform at the chorus concerts and on field trips. Common rewards include a field trip at the end of each semester.

This program is for students who are interested in the Performing Arts. We produce 1 show per year and encourage students who are interested in singing, dancing, and tech to join us. Rehearsals are after school and will be 6-8 weeks before the first production. Auditions will be announced.

The D & D club is a club designed to allow students to play a game full of imagination, socialization, and upper level reading. Open to all grade-levels.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

Girls Choir

Open to all students. The Harmony and Hangul Club will provide opportunities to learn the Korean alphabet, practice basic Korean phrases, and explore the rich culture and traditions of Korea through music and food.

Helping Hands

A community service club open to all students. A commitment of 50% or higher monthly attendance at regular scheduled Tuesday morning meetings and a willingness to work collaboratively with fellow members and be a positive representative of the club. Activities: help with Rally Week, donation/food drives, Charitable contests, handmade cards for nursing homes and long-term facilities and more.

Jr. Beta Club is a National Honor Society for 8th grade students who maintained an A/B average for their 7th grade year. The motto for Jr. Beta is “Leadership Through Service”. Students who participate in this club will complete 20 service hours each year.
