Four Cobb Schools Named 2025 Title I Reward Schools

October 17, 2025—Four Cobb County elementary schools have been recognized among the top-performing Title I schools in Georgia for 2025. This distinction celebrates student progress, dedicated educators, and strong school leadership.

The Georgia Department of Education announced that Birney Elementary, Clarkdale Elementary, Fair Oaks Elementary, and McCall Primary School have each earned the Title I Reward School designation. This recognition is reserved for the top 5% of Title I schools statewide that are making the most significant progress in improving English Language Arts and Mathematics achievement among all students.

The honor reflects year-over-year growth and continuous improvement, as determined by statewide data assessments. In a congratulatory letter, Deputy Superintendent Shaun Owen of the Georgia Department of Education’s Office of Federal Programs commended Cobb Schools for the achievement, calling it “a reflection of the commitment and hard work of your educators, students, and families.”

Each of the recognized schools serves a diverse community of learners, and this honor underscores their unwavering commitment to growth, support, and academic excellence.

Congratulations to students and educators at Birney, Clarkdale, Fair Oaks, and McCall Primary on this outstanding recognition!
