Class Placement

We are starting to look ahead to the 2021-2022 school year and begin our class placement process. When creating our class rosters, we consider several factors:

  • Class size
  • Boy / Girl #’s
  • Ability
  • Learning styles
  • Individual services
  • Etc.

At Mt. Bethel, we take a team approach to create the best learning experience for every child. Our team includes classroom teachers, counselors, specialists, ESOL, EIP, special education, Target, AC, and administration. We believe that input from each one of these professionals helps us determine the best learning environment for our students. Countless hours go into creating the best class placement, and our goal is to ensure that each child is placed in a balanced classroom with a teacher that can best meet their needs.

We also encourage parent input when creating our classes. The Parent Input form is completely optional and only for families choosing Face to Face instruction for next year.

Next year there will be a Virtual and F2F option. Families with younger students will be able to register for our elementary online learning option anytime between April 19 - May 2. Details can be found here VIRTUAL LEARNING

We do not anticipate receiving our staffing allotments until the virtual choice portal is closed. At that time, we will begin working on teacher assignments for the 2021-2022 school year.
