It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the full-time Support and Services Administrator at Pitner Elementary. I am truly grateful to be a part of such a wonderful school community where students, staff, and families work together to create a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment for all.
I have had the privilege of spending my entire 13-year career in education in the Cobb County School District. As a Cobb County native, I attended Ford Elementary, Durham Middle, and Harrison High, so being able to serve the community that played such an important role in my own education is especially meaningful to me. I spent eight years teaching MID/Foundations and one year as a Behavior Specialist before moving into my current role as an SSA, where I am now in my fourth year. Throughout each of these roles, my passion has remained the same: advocating for students, promoting acceptance and inclusion, and supporting educators in providing high-quality educational experiences for every learner.
I have been fortunate to call Pitner home for the past four years, and what makes this school such a special place is the people. Our students bring so much personality and joy to our building, and our staff’s commitment to collaboration and supporting one another makes Pitner a truly wonderful place to work. My hope is that every student and family who works with me knows that I am approachable, willing to listen, and committed to helping navigate even the most complex situations. I believe strongly in giving and extending grace, and I strive to make sure that students are at the heart of every decision we make.
Personally, my husband, Andrew, and I have three boys, Cohen (9), Elijah (7), and Lincoln (1). Our family loves all things sports, so you will often find us watching or playing baseball, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, following Georgia Southern football, or supporting the LA Rams (we have a family connection there—our uncle is a coach!). We love being outside, spending time in the mountains, and traveling to some of our favorite places, including Ellijay, Georgia, and Cape San Blas, Florida. We also love being active in serving our church. And if you ever want to talk sports, college football, or random trivia, I am always up for the conversation!
I look forward to another wonderful year at Pitner and to continuing to partner with our students, staff, and families. Together, we can create an environment where every student feels accepted, supported, and empowered to be successful. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your Pitner family.
