Russell Elementary 2026-2027
Parents, you must register your roadrunner for ASP, if not already attending, in order for your roadrunner to be in a club that meets after school. The registration fee is $20. The daily fee is $10 if your roadrunner is not leaving the club as a car rider. Details on registering for ASP can be found at this link: After School Program (ASP).

The club is designed to empower children to develop their love of music while increasing their confidence and self-discipline as students. Fitness Club3rd-5th$20 (ASP) | Starting Date: Mondays (6 week fall session) September 14 Weekly Meeting Day: Monday | Kennon Taylor Kennon.Taylor@cobbk12.org | The Fitness Club is a life-changing physical activity based on positive youth development for students in 3rd -5 th grade. The purpose of the Fit Club is to get students actively engaged in fitness, exercise, and teamwork games in the hope of creating healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Students that are interested can see Coach Taylor to sign up, and once the 25 students are selected, a registration form will be sent home. |

Safety Patrol5th GradeNo ASP Registration Required | Starting Date: August 24, 2026 Weekly Meeting Day: Schedule will be provided | Steve Otten Steven.Otten@cobbk12.org Lambert Bales Lambert.Bales@cobbk12.org | The mission of the Russell Elementary Safety Patrol is to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all students by fostering leadership, responsibility, and safe practices during arrival, throughout the day and during special events. 5th grade patrollers raise and take down the USA flag, assist in the cafeteria, and assist with morning car riders and buses. They also serve as role models for younger students. Space is limited to 6 students. See Mr. Otten for a registration form. |
Bricks 4 KidzK-5th$199 $170 (club) $20 (ASP) | Starting Date: September 3rd Weekly Meeting Day: Thursdays, 2:30-3:30 | Registration form sent through CTLS | Bricks 4 Kidz® Enrichment Class takes learning out of the textbook and into an imaginative, hands-on learning experience with emphasis on S.T.E.M./STEAM! In this 60-minute class, our instructor will lead a lesson that will meet Georgia Standards in science, math, and social studies. Students work in pairs to build and re-engineer a motorized model, complete art/experiments, explore, and more. |

Guys with Bowties4th & 5th$20 (ASP) | Starting Date: October 1, 2026 Weekly Meeting Day: Thursdays | Lambert Bales Lambert.Bales@cobbk12.org Iram Williams Iram.Williams@cobbk12.org | “Guys with Bowties” is a mentorship program designed to help young boys at Russell Elementary School grow, receive, and develop into positive citizens in the community. The goal is for this program to be life-changing by teaching skills such as leadership, dressing for success, good manners, and behavior. Girls Create + Code3rd - 5th$20 (ASP) | Starting Date: September 9 Weekly Meeting Day: Wednesdays | Chloe Newell Chloe.Newell@cobbk12.org Shuntia Green Shuntia.Green@cobbk12.org | Girls Create + Code gives 3rd–5th grade girls a fun, hands-on space to explore technology and digital creativity. Students will spend part of the club becoming digital storytellers by creating cartoons, stop-motion videos, and original voiceovers and part learning coding and computer science through Girls Who Code activities. Along the way, students will build skills in creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and technology while bringing their own ideas to life. *Families MUST register for ASP and pay the $20 ASP registration fee if the club meets after school. There is also a $10 fee to stay in ASP after the club ends if not picked up by car. Students will not be allowed to participate in clubs if they have a negative ASP balance.
**Since space is limited, students may not be able to be in multiple clubs.
