Dual Language Immersion Program

Russell Elementary School is proud to host a strand program of Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion. The program began implementation in August 2016 with Kindergarten. Each subsequent year a grade level was added to the program with full K through 5th implementation beginning in August 2021. This unique model will provide instruction and support for students in learning both languages. Students will split their day between instruction in Spanish and English. Our hope is to instill cultural competence and enhance communication among our students and community. Our vision and mission is to develop and honor the greatness in everyone and help every child to become a versatile, well-rounded, successful member of society. Our Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion program will help students to become bi-lingual and bi-literate in an ever changing world.
