Supplies for Russell Roadrunners
Dear Russell Families,
I am excited to officially welcome myself, Dr. Marilyn Thomas, as your new principal for the 2026-2027 school year! I look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, building new relationships, and partnering with all of you to continue the proud tradition of excellence at Russell Elementary School. I am truly excited about the year ahead and all that we will accomplish together.
I am excited to share some wonderful news as we prepare for the upcoming school year! As a welcome gift, I will be providing the required instructional school supplies for all Roadrunners this year! My hope is that this helps ease some of the back-to-school expenses for our Roadrunners to begin the year ready to learn! While I will provide instructional school supplies, families will still be responsible for the items below. Also, keep in mind that donations of Kleenex, Lysol wipes, and sanitizer are appreciated.
All Roadrunners: A reusable water bottle
Pre-k Roadrunners: Diapers (if needed), wipes, an extra set of clothes, an extra pair of shoes to keep at school, and a blanket as requested by the teacher
In addition, we are pleased to announce that all pre-k and kindergarten Roadrunners will receive a backpack at no cost to families. This opportunity is made possible through the generosity of iThink Financial, one of our newest Partners in Education. We are grateful for their support of our Roadrunners and school community.
We will also have Russell dress code-approved shirts available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last (one shirt per Roadrunner). Available shirt sizes range from youth 5 through youth 8. Backpacks for pre-k and kindergarten Roadrunners and Russell dress code-approved shirts may be picked up during our Meet & Greet on July 30th from 8:00-9:00 (PreK-2nd grade) or from 9:00-10:00 (3rd-5th grade).
