Read-a-Thon

Our annual Spring Read-a-Thon is one of the most exciting events of the year at the Smyrna Media Center! This fundraiser not only encourages a love of reading, but it also directly supports our students by helping purchase new books, Makerspace supplies, and materials for engaging student activities throughout the year.

In addition, Read-a-Thon funds help provide scholarships for graduating former Smyrna Elementary students. In Spring 2026, we proudly awarded $3,000 in scholarships to alumni continuing their education after high school. Thanks to the incredible success of the 2026 Read-a-Thon, we are thrilled to increase that amount to $7,000 in scholarships for the Class of 2027 graduates!
