Campbell MS International Baccalaureate World School

Campbell Middle School is an International Baccalaureate World School!

What does that mean for our students?

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is designed for students aged 11 to 16. It provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills through embracing and transcending traditional school subjects.

The implementation of the Middle Years Programme will prepare all students of Campbell Middle School to become internationally minded and for a world of increasing globalism through an emphasis on inquiry learning, communication skills, learning styles, social awareness and self-reflection at school, home and the community.

All students of Campbell Middle will receive instruction incorporating the IB Middle Years Programme framework, which consists of the IB learner profile, fundamental concepts, areas of interaction, and eight school subjects.

Interdisciplinary Learning

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme focuses on interdisciplinary learning by actively engaging students in each subject in the five areas of interaction. These areas serve as “lenses” or “themes” which students explore ideas, investigate connections across and between subject areas, and apply their knowledge to real world global problems.

International Baccalaureate Organization Mission Statement

The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end the IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
