Cobb Horizon Leads District in SAT Growth with 52-Point Gain

October 5, 2026 — Cobb Horizon’s Class of 2026 recorded the largest increase in average SAT scores among Cobb high schools, raising the school’s average by 52 points. The average climbed from 981 in 2025 to 1033 in 2026, making Cobb Horizon a standout among the nine district high schools that improved their results.

The gain lifted Cobb Horizon above both state and national public-school averages, exceeding Georgia’s average of 1031 by two points and the national public-school average of 1011 by 22 points.

Cobb Horizon is among the ten Cobb high schools that maintained or increased their averages.

SAT scores can support college applications and scholarships. For students planning those next steps, the results represent one part of the academic preparation they carry with them after graduation. Cobb Horizon’s results come as Cobb maintained a district average of 1116.

The SAT results include students expected to graduate in 2026. State and national comparisons are based on public school students in Georgia and nationwide.

Congratulations to Cobb Horizon students and the teachers, counselors, and families who supported their hard work and helped prepare them for what comes next.
