Question: Why are you excited about joining the East Cobb Middle School community, and what can the school community expect to see under your leadership?

Answer: “I am excited to join the East Cobb Middle School community, meet everyone, learn from the staff and students, and continue to forge a path of success together. As a leader, the community can expect to see several things: building relationships, building and sustaining strong teams, and good coffee and chocolate. All things are possible with a good cup of coffee.”

Question: What does student success look like to you?

Answer: “To me, student success is a student who has been empowered with self-confidence, self-discipline, and the courage to step out on their path to success, no matter how hard the path.”

Question: What do you like most about being an educator?

Answer: “People say that no one gets rich in education. However, the best paychecks I receive are the meetings I encounter with my former students who share their successes, the path they have taken in life, and their experiences with our current students. Seeing the success of former students is more rewarding than words can express.”

Question: Outside school, where might students, parents, or staff members run into you?

Answer: “Outside of school, you will find me at Sloan Street Park with my senior rescue dog, as this is his favorite place to visit for scents and to meet other dogs. You might also run into me on the Azalea Park trails or at a local coffee shop, as I firmly believe a good cup of coffee is the key to success!”
