Harrison SAT Scores Finish Well Above State and National Averages

October 5, 2026 — Harrison High School’s Class of 2026 earned an average SAT score of 1130, placing students 99 points above Georgia’s average and 119 points above the national average. Harrison was one of eight Cobb high schools with averages exceeding 1100. Its results also surpassed Cobb’s district average of 1116, giving the school community another academic accomplishment to recognize.
Georgia’s average was 1031, while the national average was 1011, out of a possible 1600 points. Harrison’s performance exceeds all three comparison averages—district, state, and national.
Harrison students averaged 576 in evidence-based reading and writing and 555 in math, outperforming Georgia public-school averages by 51 points in reading and writing and 49 points in math, while topping the national averages by 61 and 59 points, respectively.
SAT scores can support college applications and scholarships. For students planning those next steps, the results represent one part of the academic preparation they carry with them after graduation.
Harrison's results come as Cobb maintained a district average of 1116. The SAT results include students expected to graduate in 2026. State and national comparisons are based on public school students in Georgia and nationwide, with reported averages rounded to the nearest whole number.
Congratulations to Harrison graduates and the teachers, counselors, and families who helped prepare them for opportunities beyond high school.
