Dear Kemp Families,
My name is Allison Gurski and I am honored to serve the staff, students, and community of Kemp Elementary as an assistant principal this coming school year. I look forward to building on the tradition of excellence that has already been established at this school and I am beyond excited to help Kemp Elementary continue to be the best place to Learn, Lead, and Excel.
Personally, I am a proud product of the Cobb County School System, having attended Still Elementary, Pine Mountain Middle, and Harrison High schools. I am beyond grateful to now serve the communities that invested in me growing up. I live in the West Cobb area with my husband, Billy, and our three amazing sons, Davis (15), Matthew (11), and Luke (8). We love all things sports and traveling to Colorado to hike and snowboard. When we are not at the ball fields or basketball courts, you can find us cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs during the football season, hiking & biking at Allatoona Creek, or working in the yard at our little farmhouse.
Professionally, after attending UGA (Go Dawgs!), I returned to Kennesaw State University and received my B.S.Ed. in Early Childhood Education, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, and my Ed.S. in Instructional Technology. This will be my 21st year in education, and 5th year in administration, all in the Cobb County School District. Prior to administration, I taught 3rd and 5th grade at Pickett’s Mill and Lewis Elementary.
I am passionate about supporting students, staff, and families with kindness and leading with inspiration and authenticity. I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of the Kemp family.
Thank you for welcoming me to this amazing community! Please do not hesitate to email or call me at any time.
