Lassiter announced the 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year on Thursday, March 26, recognizing two outstanding individuals who go above and beyond to support students and staff each day.

Lizz Etter has been named Teacher of the Year for her exceptional work in the Social Studies department, where she teaches U.S. Government and U.S. History. Known for her engaging lessons and commitment to helping students understand the impact of history on today’s world, Ms. Etter creates a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and active participation. Her passion for her subject and dedication to student success make her a truly deserving recipient of this honor.

Nicole Teague has been selected as Classified Employee of the Year for her invaluable contributions as a clerk in the PPO Office. Both honorees exemplify the spirit of excellence, dedication, and service that define our school. Congratulations to Lizz Etter and Nicole Teague on this well-deserved recognition.
