Lassiter Speech and Debate Team Finishes Season with Numerous Honors

The Lassiter High School Speech and Debate Team wrapped up another outstanding season, showcasing exceptional talent, dedication, and hard work throughout the year. Competing against some of the best programs in the region, Lassiter students consistently demonstrated strong speaking, critical thinking, and argumentation skills across a variety of events.
Throughout the season, team members earned numerous awards and top placements at competitions, highlighting the depth and strength of the program. Their achievements reflect not only individual excellence but also the collaborative spirit and preparation that define the Lassiter Speech and Debate Team.
As the season concludes, the team celebrates a year filled with impressive accomplishments and continued growth. Lassiter High School is proud of the students who represented the school with professionalism, confidence, and determination while building skills that will serve them well far beyond the competition stage.

The team of Diego Aramburu Ibarra and Max Lukens won the Woodward Academy National Championship for 1st Year Public Forum Debate. This is the first time a Lassiter team has championed this tournament.
The Congress competitors finished as Runner Up GFCA State Champions. Four out of five students competing advanced through semis to the final round. The individual team members finished 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 10th.
