On Wednesday, October 28, Lassiter’s Teacher of the Year, Elizabeth Etter, was honored at the annual Teacher of the Year Pep Rally, held at Mission Street Baptist Church in Marietta. The event brought together outstanding educators from across Cobb County for a celebration recognizing their dedication and impact in the classroom and beyond. Adding to the excitement, several of Etter’s students attended to cheer her on and celebrate this special recognition.

The annual pep rally is part of Cobb’s broader commitment to honoring the educators who inspire students to learn, grow, and succeed. It is also part of the Cobb Chamber’s Give Our Schools a Hand initiative, which celebrates outstanding educators throughout the community. By bringing together teachers, students, families, and community members, the event highlights the important role educators play in shaping students’ lives and turns teacher recognition into a meaningful community celebration.
