LMMS offers a wide variety of clubs and organizations in 2025-2026.

The purpose of the Academic Team is to encourage interested and committed 7th & 8th grade students to participate in team-oriented fun, challenging quiz-bowl team events stressing the academic areas of science, social studies, mathematics, literature, and current events. Participation includes various levels of the PAGE Academic Bowl competition, the Georgia Academic Team Association middle school tournament, and other appropriate tournaments. Sixth grade membership is on an invitation basis depending on available spots on the “B” (novice, JV, etc.) team. The “A” Team is primarily reserved for 8th grade members.

Help assist with setting up, putting back, and inventorying art materials. Club members will also assist in preparing for the yearly art shows. Additional duties may include cleaning and sorting. Members must attend at least one day per week to remain a member.

Boys Choir provides 6th, 7th, and 8th grade chorus students the opportunity to sing in an ensemble of only boys. Repertoire is fun and exploratory.

Chess club at LMMS is a place to learn how to play the game of chess, teach others how to play, and to learn new strategies.

This program is for students who are interested in the Performing Arts. We produce 1 show per year and encourage students who are interested in singing, dancing, and tech to join us. Rehearsals are after school and will be 6-8 weeks before the first production. Auditions will be announced.

The D & D club is a student-led group designed to allow students to expand their creativity and storytelling skills in a fun, interactive way via the role-playing game: Dungeons & Dragons. Open to all grade-levels.

FBLA members have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, expand their business knowledge, and earn recognition by immersing themselves in their school and communities. Students may attend leadership conferences and compete for awards in various business topics.

FCA is a non-school sponsored, student organization that listens to local youth pastor's messages, sing worship music, play games, small group Bible study, and fellowship with other students.

Jr. Beta Club is a National Honor Society for 8th grade students who maintained an A/B average for their 7th grade year. The motto for Jr. Beta is “Leadership Through Service”. Students who participate in this club will complete 20 service hours each year.

KICKS (Kids In Contact with Kids) are students trained to work in our Functional Skills Classroom.

Assist with library duties: shelving books, cleaning tables, pushing in chairs, etc. Students are required to work one day per week.

Students deliver important information to the students and staff of LMMS. Students are placed on a schedule and report to the newsroom by 8:55 am on their scheduled days.

Provide musical and logistical support to each orchestra ensemble through daily class activities and weekly team meetings. Open to all grades.
