Please mark your calendar for Mabry's Open House next Thursday evening, August 14th. We look forward to seeing you at Open House, but please don't worry if you are unable to attend the event. Prior to Open House next week, we will send links to introductory videos from our teachers. That way, everyone will have the opportunity to learn more information directly from your child's teachers without the rush of following your child's schedule or the worry of missing one grade level to attend another. As we did last year, we will not follow a traditional Open House format. This, more flexible, format is designed for your convenience.

Our Open House format will include the following:

•  At your convenience, watch the teachers' introductory videos.
• Special Education Parent Orientation in the Learning Commons at 5:30 pm.
• Our Mabry PTSA will sell spirit wear outside the school store from 5:30 to 6:00 pm.
• Our Mabry Foundation will distribute information about their mission and goals outside the theater from 5:30 to 6:00 pm.  
• Welcome from Mr. Tanner, the PTSA General Meeting, a message from our Foundation, and a logistics overview in the theater from 6:00 to 6:20 pm.  
• Parents visit classrooms from 6:20 to 7:20 pm.  Please bring a copy of your child's schedule or have it on your phone through ParentVue.  Parents do not have to follow a specific order of classes, and they can visit multiple grade levels, as needed.  Please keep in mind that this is an opportunity to see the classroom, introduce yourself to the teacher, and ask a specific question; however, it is not a time for in-depth conversations with the teacher.  Conference week is scheduled for October 14-17, and you will have the opportunity to hear more about your child's progress at that time.  In the meantime, if you have specific questions or concerns, don't hesitate to get in touch with your child's grade level counselor or administrator.     
• Optional Admin/Counselor Q & A in the theater from 6:20 to 6:50 pm- If you have specific questions that are better suited for administration or counselors, stay in the theater after the general meeting for an informative Q & A session.
