President Trump is coming to the Cobb County School District

July 16, 2026 — The Cobb County School District is honored that the President of the United States has chosen to visit the District for an event highlighting education and student achievement.

The visit provides an opportunity to showcase the academic excellence, exceptional educators, and high-achieving students that have made Cobb Schools a national leader in public education. 

“President Trump is giving every American child a head start in life, a nest egg to grow up with, and a real stake in their own future through Trump Accounts,” White House spokeswoman Liz Huston said.

As one of the nation's premier public school districts, Cobb Schools is proud to serve 105,738 students across 112 schools with a commitment to excellence in academics, innovation, and student success. 

Highlights include:

  • Georgia's second-largest public school district, the 23rd-largest in the nation, serving 105,738 students. 
  • #1 in Metro Atlanta on the 2024–25 Georgia Milestones in five tested subjects. 
  • 22 National Blue Ribbon Schools and 56 Georgia Schools of Excellence, reflecting a long-standing tradition of academic achievement. 
  • Students consistently outperform state and national averages on the ACT and SAT. 
  • A graduation rate of 89.2%, exceeding both the state and national averages. 
  • More than $160 million in scholarships awarded to the Class of 2026.
