Andrea Cofield
Media Center Paraprofessional
Andrea Cofield is the Media Center Para. Prior to being a para, she was a substitute in Cobb County, Argyle Independent School District and Loudoun County Public Schools. She was a stay-at-home mom for 16 years to her two boys. Andrea and her husband have moved to different states a few times but enjoy their home in East Cobb now. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Kennesaw State University. She enjoys reading with the Mabry Book Club students and helping with the Mabry Broadcast Team.
Office Daniel Dennington
School Resource Officer
Officer Dennington # 6975 comes to us with 18 years law enforcement experience. Dennington has worked at two Sheriff’s Offices where he worked patrol, CID, warrants, SWAT and rescue swimmer/diver on Lake Lanier. Dennington has worked at two Municipalities where he was sergeant for four years. Dennington has certifications in FTO and Supervision. Dennington served in the US Army with the 82 Airborne Division which deployed to Desert Storm in 1990. Dennington is married and lives in East Cobb with two step kids one attending Sprayberry High School and the other Mount Paron Christian School. Dennington attends church at Mount Parron North off Allgood Rd and enjoys weekly exercise and camping.
Liz Doerr
Front Office Clerk
Liz Doerr has always been involved in education in some way. Graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Geography, she then became certified to teach and taught at an outdoor residential program for troubled teens in Florida. She and her husband, Jeff, spent about 5 years as foster parents for troubled teenage boys. She then became a stay-at-home mother to two children and an active volunteer in the elementary and middle schools, following her children. After landing in the Cobb County area in 2011, Mrs. Doerr enjoyed volunteering at Mabry so much that she is now employed in the front office as a clerk.

Amy Hinsley
Counselor
Amy Hinsley is the school counselor for 7th grade students. Her phone extension is #036, and her e-mail address is Amy.Hinsley@cobbk12.org. Mrs. Hinsley is Native American and grew up in Northern Michigan, where she is a member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indian tribe. She moved to Georgia to pursue a career in education. Mrs. Hinsley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel and Textile design from Michigan State University and earned her Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Georgia State University. She has 14 years of experience in education as a teacher, school counselor, and academic advisor in higher education at Georgia Tech.

Dena Loadwick
Secretary
Dena Loadwick is the Mabry Middle School Secretary. Prior to being the school secretary, Mrs. Loadwick was an active parent volunteer at Mabry for over 6 years, serving on both the Mabry PTSA and Mabry Middle Foundation. Mrs. Loadwick graduated from Winthrop University with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and from Clemson University with an MBA. Prior to volunteering and working at Mabry, Mrs. Loadwick was an IT Project Manager and Business Consultant. She is married with two children, both at Lassiter High School, and enjoys baking - she is the owner of Sugar Lily Sweet Treats!
Anita Norton
Media Specialist
Mrs. Norton is a mom of three kids who went to Rocky Mount Elementary, Simpson Middle, and Lassiter High School. All three of these kiddos have flown the nest and are in college at KSU. Mrs. Norton received her Undergraduate and Master’s Degree from North Texas University. She has been a Media Specialist for 10 years. This is her third year in Cobb County. She says she has the best job in the building! She loves middle schoolers, reading, researching, and creativity. Mrs. Norton's super-power is being able to find the right book for the right student!
Lauren Oden
Counselor
Ms. Oden was born in Alabama and raised in Marietta, Georgia where she attended Cobb County Schools for K-12th grades. She has earned a B.A. degree in Human Development and Family Science from Samford University, a M.Ed. degree in School Counseling from the University of Montevallo, and an Ed.S. degree in School Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Ms. Oden joined the Mabry family in 2020, and she is passionate about helping students succeed during their transition to middle school. Developing strong relationships with her students and supporting their mental health is a great privilege that she treasures. In her spare time, Ms. Oden enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching college football (War Eagle!)
Michelle Perlin
Counselor

Sam Stephens
Nurse
Nurse Sam began her nursing journey in 2021 after moving from the Midwest to pursue a career in Hematology/Oncology. Prior to becoming a nurse, Ms. Stephens built a successful career in non-profit event planning and also coached year-round competitive swimming.
As a mother of three girls enrolled in Cobb County elementary schools, Nurse Sam made the transition from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to school nursing in Cobb County at the start of the 2024-2025 school year to achieve a healthier work-life balance.
She is deeply committed to the belief that “students must be healthy to be educated and educated to be healthy.” At the school clinic, this philosophy comes to life through monthly health education initiatives and one-on-one collaboration with students. Her mission is to empower students to grow into more confident, informed, and healthy individuals.
