New Student Registration
The Cobb County School District (District) shall admit into its schools any individual between the ages of five (5), on or before September 1, and seventeen (17), who resides with an adult, whether a parent or guardian, within the district. All youth who reside in the district who have not attained the age of 21 by September 1 are eligible for enrollment in appropriate education programs unless they have received a high school diploma or the equivalent. Students that have dropped out of school for one quarter or more are eligible to re-enroll unless they attain the age of 20 by September 1 (See Rule JBC-R).

•Families needing meals at the free or reduced rate MUST complete a family meal application to determine eligibility every year or they will be required to pay for meals (student regular costs of breakfast and lunch).

•The FNS meal charge policy procedure is as follows:
•Students are allowed up to $7.05 in charges at elementary school and $5.20 at middle school. Charges are not allowed for a la carte, adults, or at high school. For the students that have reached the charge limit, an alternate meal (such as a peanut butter sandwich and milk or a cheese sandwich and milk) will be provided. No alternative meal will be provided at breakfast.
