What is the Readathon? ECMS will host its second annual Launching into Literacy Readathon November 6-20. The readathon encourages reading by providing incentives and community support to our students for their reading efforts during this 2-week period. Students set goals and log reading minutes while family and friends visit their student's Beanstack page to see progress, give encouragement, and donate on their behalf.  

How do I check my student's progress and make a donation? Between November 6 and 20, go to https://cobbeastcobb.beanstack.com/fundraiser and search for your student's donation page.  You will be able to make a donation and leave a message of encouragement for your student.

How will funds be used? Funds raised will be used to purchase makerspace supplies, reading incentives, books, and other items that support our library program initiatives. 

What events will the Readathon include? 

Academic Night, November 6: The Readathon will blast off on Thursday, November 6 at our Fall Academic Night. People who make donations will be able to enter a raffle for a book-themed gift basket.

Book Hero Day, November 21: The last day to log minutes and make donations is Thursday, November 20. We will celebrate the culmination of Readathon with a $3 book hero costume day and prize distribution on Friday, November 21. Three dollar donations for Book Hero Day will be added to our final Readathon total.

Clash of the Classes, November 7-20: As part of the Readathon, we will have a Clash of the Classes contest. The homeroom that raises the most money during Readathon will win a Pizza Party!

• Your business will be thanked on ECTV Morning News on November 21 and on the scrolling announcements every day for a week
