Students may checkout at each visit and can drop in at oter times without their class to exchange their book for a new one. Books may be kept for up to three weeks. Students in Kindergarten begin the year with one book at checkout and work their way up to three checkouts. Students in grades 1st - 5th may checkout three books all year long. "Books" includes picture books, chapter books, non-fiction books, graphic novels and magazines.

If students have overdues (meaning they've kept the book longer than three weeks), they will not be allowed to checkout additional books. Students may renew books if they are still reading them. Holds may be placed on books either in person during a library visit or by the student logging into Destiny through Cobb Digital Library. Students login the same way they do on their school laptops. Teachers are emailed when their student's hold book is available for checkout.

Garrison Mill parents/guardians can create an account with the library that allows you to checkout up to 5 items for three weeks at a time. Your child can return your books, but students may not checkout books in their parent/guardian name. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, there will be a replacement fee.

If you'd like a parent account, please use the link below to submit a request:

We will email you once your request has been approved. Once approved, you may begin checking out books from the library media center. We are open for checkouts from 7:15 am until 2:00 pm.
