October 5, 2026 — Hillgrove High School’s Class of 2026 reached a new milestone in this year’s SAT results, raising its average from 1091 to 1102. The 11-point increase placed Hillgrove among the eight Cobb high schools scoring above 1100.
Hillgrove exceeded Georgia’s average by 71 points and the national average by 91 points. With Georgia averaging 1031 and the nation averaging 1011, Hillgrove’s results give the school community both an improvement and strong comparisons to celebrate.
Hillgrove was one of nine district high schools to increase its average compared with 2025. Its progress contributed to a year in which ten Cobb schools maintained or improved their performance.
Hillgrove students averaged 564 in evidence-based reading and writing and 537 in math, outperforming Georgia public-school averages by 39 points in reading and writing and 31 points in math, while topping the national public-school averages by 49 and 41 points, respectively.
SAT scores can support college applications and scholarships. For students planning those next steps, the results represent one part of the academic preparation they carry with them after graduation.
Hillgrove's results come as Cobb maintained a district average of 1116. The SAT results include students expected to graduate in 2026. State and national comparisons are based on public school students in Georgia and nationwide, with reported averages rounded to the nearest whole number.
Congratulations to Hillgrove graduates and the teachers, counselors, and families who helped them reach this milestone and prepare for what comes next.
