Carpool Procedures @ Keheley

Carpool Safety Guidelines
In order to ensure the safety of our students and move the carpool line efficiently, we ask that you review the following guidelines for morning and afternoon car riders:
• Drive slowly in a single-file line and refrain from passing stopped vehicles
• Pull your vehicle all the way around the circle to the Keheley staff member standing at the front of the circular drive
• Allow students to enter/ exit the vehicle on the passenger side only
• Only let students out of your vehicle in the drop-off area staffed by Keheley personnel
• Parents do not get out of your cars. If your child needs extra assistance, then either wait for a Keheley staff member or continue through the carpool line, park the car, and escort your child via the crosswalk monitored by Keheley personnel
• No cell phones
Note: It is expected that all cars stay in the carpool line. More people crossing the crosswalk equals a slower car line. When you must park and enter the building or walk your child to the building, only park in designated spaces. Do not use the handicap spaces for drop off. It is our experience that when these guidelines are followed, the line moves quickly and there is ample time to get all students into the building on time.
Morning Drop-off:
• The school doors open at 7:20 A.M. Riders may begin unloading in the carpool drop-off area at that time. Only students who have special permission for tutoring or special events may be dropped off earlier than 7:15 A.M.
• Students will be marked tardy if they are not in their classroom when the bell rings at 7:50 A.M.
Afternoon Pick-up:
• Keheley Dismissal begins at 2:20 P.M.
• Students will wait in their designated area to be called for dismissal
• Keheley staff members will call your students when you pull into the circle
• Keheley car tags must be displayed. Cars that do not have a tag will be asked to park and come in to the front office to provide proper identification before a student is dismissed
• Any student not picked up by 2:35pm will be taken to ASP & all ASP charges will apply
Student Safety is our #1 priority & I thank you for your cooperation & support!
