On Saturday, December 6th, Kell High School transformed into a winter wonderland of generosity and holiday cheer for the return of our beloved tradition: Shop with a Longhorn.

More than just an event, Shop with a Longhorn is a heartfelt opportunity for Kell students to give back to our community in the most direct way possible, by creating a magical holiday experience for some of our youngest Longhorns from local elementary schools.

The morning began with group shopping sessions where each Kell student group paired up with a younger child to help them choose gifts for themselves and their families. From toys to clothes to special wishes, every item was carefully selected with excitement and care. Then came the wrapping station (complete with ribbons, bows, and plenty of tape!), games, photos with Santa, and endless smiles.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible effort of our Kell students and staff, who spent weeks fundraising to make sure every child left with arms full of gifts and hearts full of joy. In total, our Longhorns raised thousands of dollars, turning their hard work into real holiday magic for families in our community.

Events like these remind us why we’re so proud to be part of the Kell family. Our students didn’t just organize an event; they became role models, big siblings, and Santa’s helpers all in one morning, showing our youngest community members that they are seen, valued, and loved.
