Students should read 20 minutes a day

Relax, play, and have fun this summer. Keep reading, too! By reading 20+ minutes a day, students avoid the "summer academic slide" and maintain or advance their academic gains. To support summer reading and learning, the Cobb County School District's Library Media Education Department, in conjunction with the Cobb County Public Library and Smyrna Public Library, challenges all students to read 20 minutes every day and set a goal to read at least 15 hours this summer!

Beanstack is our summer reading platform again this summer! It is available online and as an app. The Summer Reading Challenge will begin on June 1, 2026, and end on July 31, 2026. Students can access their Beanstack school account here or from the Beanstack Tracker app

CCSD students can sync their Beanstack school and Cobb County Public Library Beanstack parent accounts. Once synced, students can log in to Beanstack and minutes count for both their school and public library challenges! To sync accounts, log in to Beanstack and follow the sync steps.
