All about Books!!

All Nickajack students have access to our print and digital libraries.  Checkout procedures for our print collection are outlined below for both our Face to Face students and our Remote Learners.   Click on our links below to learn about the resources available to keep 'em reading!

Print Books Checkout Procedures

  • Remote Learners: Kindergarten-5th Grade

To request a print book from our Media Center please complete our Book Request Form.

The Book Request Form is available Friday thru Wednesday for pickup on Thursday 3:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. in the bus port.

Students are strongly encouraged to use Destiny to find books that interest them.  Book information, title and autor can be added to the Book Request Form.

Due to the high demand of some books, any books not picked up on Thursday afternoon will be placed back in circulation on Friday morning.  A new request form will need to be submitted for the following week.

Book return may be done at the time of pickup or placed in our book return bin located in the front of the school.


  • Face to Face Learners

Kindergarten - 2nd grade

  • Students will checkout/return library books during Media Center Specials.  
  • Students are strongly encouraged to utilize Destiny (see below) to search for books that meet student reading criteria - interest and reading level.

3rd-5th grade

  • Students will access Destiny (see below) to search for books and utilize the Hold feature to reserve books.
  • Holds may be placed anytime.  Holds placed Monday-Sunday will be delivered the following week.  
  • Students may Hold up to 4 books.
  • Books will be delivered to classrooms on Thursday/Friday.  Book return will occur during classroom delivery.

  • Can be accessed on any device that has internet access.  
  • The Sora app is available in Google Play or the App Store for tablets and ipads.

Students have access to print and digital (ebooks, audiobooks, databases, videos) collections.

Cobb County Public Library ebook/audiobook collections are also available through Sora.  

Library Pass: Students will use their student ID # + 4-digit birthday (mm/dd) = PIN
