Nickajack is proud to implement a strand program of Dual Language Immersion with two classes in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Students split their day between instruction in Spanish and English to promote language development and cultural understanding. Our Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion program will help students become bi-lingual and bi-literate in an ever-changing world.

FAQs about applying for our DLI program for upcoming Kindergartners

When are applications sent out?

Applications for the DLI program are sent out by our registrar as completed Kindergarten applications with all required documents are processed.   DLI applications start going out at the end of May.  

When is the application due?

The DLI application is due July 1st.  

How are applicants selected?

Siblings of current DLI students will be automatically enrolled in the program - a DLI application is required.  All remaining applicants are entered into a lottery.  Students will be drawn from the pool until all available slots have been filled. 

When will I know if my student was selected for the DLI program?

All families are notified of their student’s placement, whether in DLI or not, in late July via CTLS.
