Learn more about Principal Bell and what the North Cobb community can expect from him in the following questions and answers.
Question: Why are you excited about continuing to serve the North Cobb High School community?
Answer: “I love this community; it's been my home for 20 years. North Cobb is an older school with established traditions. It has the support of two cities. Both Acworth and Kennesaw continuously provide support. The diversity of the student body and the programs offered prepare students for life after high school.”
Question: What does “student success” mean to you?
Answer: “Every student is different. Success for each student is finding his/her interests and performing to his/her potential.”
Question: Under your leadership, how will you build on the school’s successes?
Answer: “I will support academic excellence by providing the teachers the trainings, resources, and supports to provide the best, most engaging learning opportunities for students. Communication will be clear so that all stakeholders understand the expectations. The school staff will continue to support extracurricular activities to allow students an opportunity to shine outside of the classroom as well.”
Question: What role do you see parents and the community playing in supporting student success?
Answer: “Parents should feel comfortable engaging with school staff. High school students are learning and preparing for life after high school, but they are still students and benefit if school and home are on the same page. As I stated earlier, the North Cobb community is amazing. The leaders and businesses provide jobs, internships, instruction, and financial support.”
Question: What do you like most about being an educator?
Answer: “I love watching students change and grow from their first days of their freshman year to the last days of their senior year. There are often major changes as students develop interests and plans for the future. I especially love when our previous students return and share their success.”
Question: Outside of school, where might parents and students find you, or what’s an interesting fact about you that the school community might enjoy learning?
Answer: “When not at school, you can find me as a frequent guest in the amazing local restaurants of Acworth and Kennesaw that support North Cobb, attending Northstar Church, cheering on my Florida State Seminoles, working on my wife’s never-ending Pinterest list, thrifting with my daughter, or relaxing by the pool.”
