Art Club

Mission/Purpose: The purpose of the club is to be a part of the art program whether the students are taking art throughout the year or not.

Description of activities: Students will be able to participate in Art competitions, community projects and STEAM related projects.

 ASL Club

Mission/Purpose: The ASL Club helps students learn about American Sign Language, explore Deaf culture, and promote inclusion and friendship through fun activities and communication.

Description of activities: Students will learn basic signs, practice fingerspelling, play sign language games, and take part in activities that teach about Deaf culture. We will also practice conversational ASL, watch videos, and create fun projects to share what we’ve learned with others.

Description of activities: Performances at International Night, the Art Show, other events where we need a small ensemble.

Coder School

Description of activities: Students will work on producing and performing a Spring show.

Description of activities: Weekly role-playing creative adventuring.

Girl Talk

Mission/Purpose: This club helps middle school girls build confidence, leadership skills, and friendships while learning to overcome challenges in a safe, supportive space.

Description of activities: Creation of positive art, group role playing activities, etc.

Mission/Purpose: To inspire and empower Simpson MS by fostering a love for learning, promoting access to resources, and serving as a bridge between the library and its patrons, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, informed, and supported in their pursuit of knowledge.

Description of activities: Students will help in the Media Center with Library duties.

 Pokémon Club

Mission/Purpose: The Pokémon Club provides students with a fun and welcoming environment to share their love of Pokémon. The club encourages teamwork, strategy, creativity, and sportsmanship through games, discussions, and activities.

Description of activities: Playing the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). Trading cards responsibly (with supervision and permission). Watching Pokémon episodes or clips. Playing games like, “Who’s That Pokémon?”. Pokémon trivia competitions. Community-building activities designed for fun and inclusion.

Mission/Purpose: Support our custodial staff with recycling and keeping our campus beautiful and litter-free

Description of activities: Weekly recycling and a yearly glass recycling event. See Ms. Forester for an Application Permission Slip

 Spanish Club

Mission/Purpose: The purpose of the Spanish club is for members to learn about the Spanish language, the rich culture of Spanish speaking countries and their customs, experience the food, music, and art of Spanish Speaking countries.

Description of activities: Spanish club members will participate in activities that foster an understanding of the Spanish language and culture, including, but not limited to field trips, music appreciation, history of dance, art, and even making authentic recipes. Application with $25 fee  (t-shirt included) See Ms. Echevarria, 8th grade for applications.

Speed Cubing Club

Mission/Purpose: To provide a place where cubers of all skill levels can learn and share strategies.

Description of activities: Students meet weekly to solve cubes. All ability levels are welcome! Students may bring their own cubes and timers or use the club's cubes.

 Star Wars Club

Mission/Purpose: To provide a place for Star Wars fans to interact with one another.

Description of activities: Playing games, discussing plot lines and theories, watching movie clips and trailers.

Technology Club

Mission/Purpose: To facilitate the utilization of advanced technology to solve problems.

Description of activities: The club will compete in the NW Regional Technology Competition.


FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)

Mission/Purpose: FCA is a non-denominational Christian sports ministry. Students are encouraged to embody the core values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork, and Excellence in all aspects of their lives.

Description of activities: Each meeting features engaging games that build community & connection and an inspiring devotional led by student volunteers or invited speakers.
