Black History Bowl Team

Description: The Black History Bowl team participates in a fast-paced, game-show–style competition where students work together to answer questions about history, science, art, sports, music, civil rights, education, and more! Students will prepare through practices, trivia games, review activities, and educational resources such as books, online research, videos, practice questions, and past Black History Bowl materials. Participation in the Black History Bowl Club is completely voluntary. Students who choose to participate are expected to attend practices, work cooperatively with teammates, and prepare for competitions.
Meetings: Mondays and Thursdays from October to February 4:30 to 5:30
Daniell Drama Club
Sponsors: Brandy Judkins and Allison Tilton
Description: The purpose of the Drama Club is to provide students with a creative and inclusive extracurricular activity that builds confidence, communication skills, and teamwork through theatre. The club will introduce students to the fundamentals of acting while creating a community where all students feel welcome to participate, regardless of previous experience.
Drama Club will focus on theatre education through acting games, storytelling, and collaborative activities rather than preparing a full-scale theatrical production during its initial year. This approach allows students to develop foundational skills while enjoying a supportive environment.
Meetings: Daniell Auditorium, last Wednesday of every month, 4:30-5:15pm. Students must be picked up no later than 5:30pm.
DNN: The Morning Buzz
Sponsors: Casey Strattan and Grant Wagner
Description: DNN is Daniell Middle School's morning news show run by students and in place to share announcements and news information that students need to know. Students learn the technical side of the broadcast and how to perform on the air. Students write the scripts and produce the entire show. All participation is on a voluntary basis.

Dungeons and Dragons Club
Sponsor: Grant Wagner
Description: D&D Club is a place where students can come together and gain skills such as teamwork, planning, and problem-solving. Students gain a sense of camaraderie and come together to enjoy a Tabletop Role Playing Game where they are free to express themselves and join like-minded friends.
Meetings: Starting in September, every Thursday from 4:30-5:30 sharp! Please be in the parking lot by 5:30 to pick up your student.
Helping Hands
Sponsors: Cayce Pope and Kacy Clark
Description: This program connects general education peers with students with disabilities. Being a member of Helping Hands means you enjoy helping others and are willing to foster friendships with students with special needs. Helpers are scheduled to assist in a classroom for approximately one hour per week, and all attempts are made to align their scheduled helping time to non-academic class times. Helpers are required to be in academic good standing, have good attendance, and earn no major discipline referrals. Helpers will follow and respect the teachers' rules and guidelines to ensure the best experience for all. Those students interested in becoming a Helper need to complete an application.
Meetings: Students are assigned a scheduled day and time.

Description: The futbol club is for students of varying talents to come together for the love of the game. The students will play, practice, and have fun on the football field. The students will have a chance to change and fill up their water bottles before proceeding out on the field. It is essential to organize transportation home after practice. Coaches are unable to transport players.

Robotics Club

Description: The Robotics Club goal will be to learn more about robotics and coding with the FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Program. FIRST® LEGO® League introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children ages 4-16* through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experience through a guided, global robotics program. The program inspires youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics. All students can participate in the club, however only those who qualify and attend regularly will compete in the FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Robotics Offsite Competition. Only 10 students can compete in this competition. Club participation is voluntary.

Science of Cooking Club

Description: Mix, measure, experiment, and eat! The Science of Cooking Club gives students the chance to make delicious foods while discovering the science behind every recipe. Members will learn safe cooking techniques, create budget-friendly snacks and meals, work in teams, and explore fun concepts like chemical reactions, states of matter, and heat transfer. Whether you're a beginner or already love cooking, this voluntary club offers a fun way to learn, create, and enjoy food with friends.
