The Spring 2025 Advanced Placement (AP) Exams will be administered beginning Monday, May 5th and continuing through Friday, May 16th. This year, most exams will be administered digitally or in a hybrid of digital and paper/pencil. Students must have their Cobb County-issued laptop, fully charged, and their charging cables on the day of their exam. Likewise, they must have their College Board login information memorized to access their exams. They cannot use their phone or password managers on the exam day. Read more about digital and hybrid exams, and view the Introduction to Digital AP Testing Videos, Intro to Digital Testing, and Intro to Hybrid Testing. All students who have registered for AP Exams should plan on reporting to Hillgrove High School on the following dates/times for their registered exam. Students with approved testing accommodations may be assigned an alternative testing location. If applicable, information will be directly communicated to those students before May 5th.
Students must arrive at the testing room location by 7:30 AM for morning exams and by 11:30 AM for afternoon exams. Please plan accordingly to ensure you arrive at school on time. Per College Board policy, late arrivals will not be allowed to test. There are NO makeup exams. Afternoon exams may end after bus dismissal. Make sure, if you ride the bus, you have arranged a ride home after your exam(s).
Any student unable to report to Hillgrove High School for testing on their assigned date/time will be charged a $40.00 Unused Exam Fee.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your AP course teacher or Hillgrove High School’s AP administrator, Cassandra Mathious, at cassandra.mathious@cobbk12org.

- Arrive on time. No late entries will be allowed. There are NO makeup tests.
- For morning exams, if you complete your exam after your lunch period, please ensure you eat lunch before reporting to your next class.
- For afternoon exams, eat lunch before reporting to the testing site.
- Ending times are approximate estimations only. Afternoon exams may finish after 3:30 p.m. dismissal. If you ride the bus, then please make other arrangements that day.

- A photo ID is required for all Hillgrove students at the time of exam check-in.
- Bring 2 sharpened #2 pencils.
- Bring 2 blue and/or black ink pens for the free response test sections.
- Students are strongly discouraged from bringing cell phones to the testing room. If a student has a cell phone in the building, it must be given to the exam proctor from check-in through the completion of the exam per College Board guidelines.
- Students are strongly discouraged from bringing backpacks and other personal items to the testing location. If you need them for a class before or after your scheduled exam, then please plan to store your items in a classroom and/or your car.
- No food or drink is allowed at your testing desk unless you have a pre-approved accommodation from the College Board. This includes water bottles. You will be allowed your snack/drink during the break.
- Students should use the restroom before entering the testing site.
- Calculator policy: The College Board has very strict and explicit requirements for approved calculators. If your exam allows the use of a calculator, then please confirm your calculator meets the requirements before the exam by speaking with your teacher and/or reviewing their policy using this web address: https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/exam-policies-guidelines/calculator-policies.
- Smart watches and Fitbits with internet access, alarms, or that make any noise are NOT allowed.
- Pay careful attention to the directions given by the test administrators. They must make a formal report of any case involving students not following procedures. Do NOT use an unapproved device, do NOT work on the wrong section of the test, etc.
- Remember that all talking is forbidden during the test. If a testing administrator sees or hears a student talking during the test, he/she must report it. Do not put yourself at risk of having your score canceled.
- Make sure you get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy meal prior to your test.
- School Code: To ensure accurate score reporting, students should log into their My AP Profile and be sure Hillgrove’s school code, 112431, has been entered.
- 2025 AP Exam Terms and Conditions: The 2025 AP Exam Terms and Conditions are available here. This agreement details the rules and policies for students to take the 2025 AP Exams. Students must accept these terms and conditions prior to taking each exam. Students submitting a portfolio for AP Art and Design will need to agree to the Digital Portfolio AP Exam Terms and Conditions before submitting their work as final in the AP Digital Portfolio.
- Free Score Report: As a reminder, students get one free score sent each year they take an AP Exam. Their score report will include their AP scores from this year and any previous years. If applicable, colleges and universities use official score reports to determine credit or placement. Students must change their free score-send selection by June 20, 2025. Students should go to their My AP account to make choices and changes. Their official score report will be sent in July.
- All exam results will be available on your College Board account in July 2025.
