Applications for MBTV and Learning Commons Leader teams are now live for the 2024 - 2025 school year!

MBTV

We have 15 spots to fill and will be accepting applications from 3rd, 4th and 5th graders only. This leadership position is yearlong. If you're chosen to be a part of the team, you will be expected to be on the job on your assigned day. This will be a competitive process. Your current teacher will be contacted for a recommendation.

An MBTV Crew Member is a role model in the school and exhibits positive behavior at all times in our school community. The responsibilities of this job are to be taken seriously. You will be trained on all aspects of the job in the first few weeks and will be expected to commit for the whole year. If you have an interest in other leadership jobs that take place in the morning, you need to decide which you want to do the most and apply for it.

Learning Commons Leader

This job is open to rising 2nd - 5th grade students.

CURRENT TEAM MEMBERS DO NOT NEED TO REAPPLY!

The job of a Learning Commons Leader requires that you come to work on your assigned mornings by 7:20 to:

-shelve books,

-organize shelves,

-assist other patrons with finding books,

-book checkout and return,

-making sure computer lookup stations are on and properly logged in,

-any other duties assigned by Ms. McCurry or Ms. McHale.

A Learning Commons Leader is a role model in the school and exhibits positive behavior at all times in our school community. The responsibilities of this job are to be taken seriously. You will be trained on all aspects of the job in the first few weeks and will be expected to commit for the whole year. If you have an interest in other leadership jobs that take place in the morning, you need to decide which you want to do the most and apply for it. Additionally, when your class makes visits to the library, we will expect that you assist classmates with any of the above.

We will be hiring 5 students so there are five teams of five working throughout the week. You must convince us that we need to have you! The application process is competitive!!
