This month our school will be participating in the Pajama Pants Challenge to raise awareness and support for homeless youth in our community. For this challenge, all students are being asked to make a $2.00 donation to purchase a Challenge wristband and to wear their favorite pajama pants to school on Friday. The money we collect will be donated to a local youth shelter and group home that houses and feeds kids in need. The money will pay for things like bed pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Be sure to set a goal in your classroom because Every Child Deserves A Safe Place to Sleep! We will see you in your pajama pants for the Campaign!

This is a reminder that on Friday of this week we will be raising awareness about Homeless Youth in our community. Did you know that 39% of the homeless population in the United States is children under the age of 18? Donate $2.00 to wear your favorite pajama pants on Friday to let everyone know that at Sanders Elementary we believe that Every Child Deserves a Safe Place to Sleep. Don’t forget this important day!
