Once you have registered, be sure to print the contract which students will bring on the first day (Thursday May 27).  There is NOTHING for students to do at this time as we are processing registrations.  Once processed, you will receive a confirmation email with login information. 


WHAT
Sprayberry's Summer Grade Repair program will utilize GradPoint modules to help students recover a failing grade of 40-69% in the course offerings below:

  • ELA: 9th Literature, World Literature, American Literature, Senior Literature (British Literature and Multicultural Literature)
  • Social Studies: World History, US History, Government
  • Science: Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
  • Mathematics: Foundations of Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus


WHY
Due to the virtual option during the 2020-2021 school year, Sprayberry experienced a higher than average failure rate.  To ensure a minimal learning loss and to keep students on track for graduation, Sprayberry if offering this program to all students. Students who successfully complete the appointed modules for the assigned course will earn a 70% in the course.


WHO
Students who failed a core academic course during the Fall or Spring semester of the 2020-2021 school year with a final course grade that falls within a 40% and a 69%.  Since there is limited computer lab capacity, acceptance will be given to those who register first.


WHERE
All students will attend the Summer Grade Repair at Sprayberry High School in computer labs. There will NOT a virtual option for Summer Grade Repair


WHEN
There will be two sessions running on the following dates: May 27 - June 15 (excluding May 31 for Memorial Day)

Each session will be three and a half hours in length:

  • AM Session: 8:00 - 11:30am (all students must attend the AM session)
  • PM Session: 12:00 - 3:30pm (for students who need to recover a second course)

Students will be given the opportunity to recover up to two (2) academic courses. 

For students with a final course grade that falls between 60-69%:

  • Attendance is mandatory for the following three (3) days: May 27, May 28, June 1. 

For students with a final course grade that falls between 50-59%: 

  • Attendance is mandatory for the following eight (8) days: May 27 - June 8

For students with a final course grade that falls between 40-49%: 

  • Attendance if mandatory for the following thirteen (13) days: May 27 - June 15


HOW


OTHER

  • A signed contract must be obtained from all participating students. https://rb.gy/woxgwz 
  • To complete Summer Grade Repair, students will need to have regular attendance, actively participate, and follow all school rules. 
  • A signed contract must be obtained from all participating students.  
  • All students will attend the AM session.  PM sessions are for those students recovering a grade in a second course.  
  • Students will need to provide their own transportation. 
  • Lunch will NOT be provided.
  • Special education accommodations will NOT be offered. 
  • There is NO FEE to students to complete Summer Grade Repair.
