Band, Chorus, and Orchestra Test Drive:  The Daniell Performing Arts Department will be holding their annual instrument test drive on Friday, August 5th from 5-7 and Saturday, August 6th 10am-1pm in the music building.  Students will have the chance to try out all of the band and orchestra instruments as well as meet and chat with the chorus director.  You may stop in at any time during these events, but please note that on Friday, all students MUST leave campus at dismissal and return for the test drive with an adult who must accompany them at all times.  Students will not be permitted to stay after school on Friday for test drive.  Students attending on Saturday will also need to have an adult accompanying them at all times.  

All sixth grade students will be bringing home an orange registration form.  This is the official registration form to join one or two of the classes.  If you submitted an interest form last school year, your student will still need to submit an orange form to their homeroom teacher or at the test drive event to secure their spot in the class.  Band, Chorus and Orchestra are academic classes that meet during one of your student's two connections periods during the day and are not after school commitments.  We welcome all students regardless of extracurricular commitments and/or financial situations.  Every sixth grader is highly encouraged to sign up for one or two of the performing arts classes. 

If you cannot attend test drive and wish to make other arrangements to have your child fitted for an instrument, please contact the directors via email as soon as possible.
