Pearson Middle School is a public middle school located in Marietta, Georgia, and serves students in grades 6-8 within the Cobb County School District. The school opened for the 2021-2022 school year and quickly became a vibrant learning community dedicated to academic excellence, student growth, and community engagement. The school serves students from the Belmont Hills, Fair Oaks, and Green Acres elementary school communities.
The school is named in honor of Susan Todd Pearson, a former educator and United States diplomat who was deeply committed to education and community service. She served as president of the Campbell High School Foundation and was a member of the Cobb County School Facilities and Technology Committee. Her legacy of leadership, service, and advocacy for students continues to inspire the school community today.
Since its founding, Pearson Middle School has embraced the mission "To Connect. To Empower. To Succeed." and the vision of "Building a Community of Excellence." The school has become a center for student achievement and family involvement through events such as the Back-to-School Bash, Fall Festival, Breakfast with Santa, and Hispanic Heritage Night. These traditions reflect Pearson's commitment to fostering strong relationships between students, families, and the community.
