Mr. Foreman is a native of Caruthersville, Missouri. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in education from Arkansas State University, a Master and Specialist degree in educational leadership from Georgia College and State University.  Directly after college in 2009, he relocated to Atlanta. Mr. Foreman has served in the Cobb County School District for the past 13 years teaching special education and math. Mr. Foreman is passionate about helping students fulfill their true potential.  In his role as Academic Coach at Pearson Middle School he is responsible for guiding  the math and science department.  As an instructional leader his focus is building relationships and student growth through collaboration with students, faculty and the community.  Mr. Foreman currently lives in Cobb County with his wife and their two daughters. When Mr. Foreman has free time, he enjoys exercising, listening to music, watching cooking shows and sports(Dallas Cowboys) and spending time with his family and friends. 

ESOL Lead: Patricia Harper

Hello, hola, and bonjour Pearson families! 

My name is Patricia Harper, and I am serving as the English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) lead at Pearson this year. I am continuing my third year at Pearson and my 9th year teaching. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ESOL math and collaborate with our team of wonderful ESOL teachers to optimize learning for our students. We specialize in supporting students as they S.O.A.R. while developing their English language proficiency. I will help Pearson Aim High and Fly Higher by identifying and providing targeted resources and training that support teaching both content and language. Students will grow their ability to read, write, speak, and listen in English as they engage in rigorous academic environments. Each year, students are assessed in these categories using the ACCESS test. We encourage all students to practice literacy skills inside and outside of school, in English and in their home language. Remember to use your academic vocabulary!
