Hello Pearson Families!

I am honored and thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Pearson Middle School. It is a privilege to join a dedicated school community, and I look forward to partnering with you to support Pearson’s mission: To Connect. To Empower. To Succeed.

As I begin my eighth year as a principal, I am committed to working collaboratively with our teachers, staff, families, and community partners to ensure that every student receives a high-quality education and the encouragement they need to thrive during their middle school years.

I am excited about the year ahead and all that we will accomplish together. Your ideas and feedback are valued, and I am confident that we will work together to inspire our students to S.O.A.R. (Supportive, Open Minded, Accountable, Resilient). Middle school is an exciting and important time, and our students need our encouragement and guidance to reach their full potential. I am committed to creating a safe, engaging, and challenging learning environment while recognizing that all stakeholders play a critical role in student success.

At Pearson Middle School, we will continue embracing the innovative practices already in place while pushing one another to dream bigger, grow stronger, and excel in all that we do. Welcome to Year 6!

I am excited to begin another incredible school year serving our students, families, and staff. It is truly an honor to be part of such a supportive community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue building meaningful relationships with those we serve. I believe that strong connections with students are the foundation of a positive and successful school experience. By getting to know each student, celebrating their strengths, and supporting them through challenges, we can help them thrive both academically and personally. I am passionate about academic growth and committed to creating an environment where every student is challenged, encouraged, and empowered to reach their full potential. I look forward to partnering with our families and staff to make this school year one of learning, growth, and success for every 6th grader.

Vanessa Petit

I am excited to begin my 21st year in education and to join this wonderful school community as an assistant principal. I have 13 years of classroom teaching experience and have spent the past seven years serving as an assistant principal, where I have had the privilege of supporting students, staff, and families while helping foster a positive and engaging learning environment.

I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a successful school. I am passionate about supporting teachers, partnering with families, and ensuring that every student feels challenged, valued, and supported. As I begin this new chapter, I look forward to learning from this community, building meaningful connections, and working together to help every child reach their full potential.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children, cheering them on at their activities, traveling, and making memories with family and friends.

I am honored to be part of this amazing school community and look forward to partnering with our students, staff, and families as we encourage every child to Aim High and Fly Higher!

It is with great enthusiasm that I have the distinct honor and privilege to serve as an assistant principal at Pearson Middle School. As I embark upon my 26th year in education, I will embody the vision of our school community - To Connect To Empower To Succeed and emphasize our mission - Building a Community of Excellence. I will continually and collaboratively create safe spaces where students feel a sense of belonging. It is my belief that students should experience expected excellence every day and in every way.  Every day is a fresh start to exemplify extraordinary instructional and other supportive practices in the best interest of student success.  I am most gracious to partner with Pearson stakeholders and provide intentional opportunities for students to Aim High and Fly Higher! We will continue to Create a Great Day for Every Student, Every Day!

I am honored to serve as the Support and Services Administrator and am excited to partner with our students, families, and staff.

This year marks my 24th year in education, and I have had the privilege of serving students with disabilities in a variety of roles throughout my career. Helping students reach their full potential while supporting teachers and families is truly my passion. I believe every child deserves access to meaningful learning opportunities, a sense of belonging, and the support needed to be successful.

I value building positive relationships with students, families, and staff, and I believe that collaboration, communication, and trust are the keys to creating an environment where every student can thrive.
