Rising 9th Grade Registration
25-26SY Course Request & Recommendation Review
Parents/guardians and students currently have the opportunity to review student academic placement recommendations for language arts, math, science, and social studies in ParentVue and StudentVue. These were entered during core registration. It is important for all students to confirm they have reviewed their courses to ensure accurate core placements, and we ask you to do this by submitting a response using the 25-26SY Course Verification Form (linked in the next section).
The 2025-2026 student course requests entered during core registration are available in StudentVue and in ParentVue. To see the courses entered for each student, select “Course Requests” from the menu. Please note that the listed courses do not represent the student’s detailed 2025-2026 academic schedule; they are just the list of core courses to be scheduled for next year and potential elective courses to be scheduled.
Core course verification must be completed between April 21-April 30 using the form linked here: 25-26SY Course Verification Form. Any changes to the student’s core selections must be noted on the verification form. This is the final opportunity to make changes to 2025-2026 core course placements.
- If you are requesting to waive a course recommendation, please complete the waiver form linked below and available in the counseling office. These forms must be submitted to the counseling office by April 30, 2025.
- Before the school year begins, if class space is available, the completed forms will be used to make possible changes.
Please note that no changes will be made to elective requests, but if you requested additional core classes in math or science for your elective block(s), you must submit a "doubling-up" form by April 30, 2025, for those requests to be honored.
- If you are requesting to double-up math or science classes, please complete the doubling-up form linked below and available in the counseling office.
- Before the school year begins, if class space is available, the completed forms will be used to make possible changes.
Every effort is being made to create a schedule with student elective choices being honored. You will see all requests the student made during the Elective Selection Process. When final schedules are distributed in late summer, students may notice that their top electives may not be present; this is a result of scheduling conflicts or prerequisites not being met for electives. However, unless students improperly completed the process, some combination of their 8 elective choices should be honored.
