The HERD serves as the authorized spokesperson for Kell High School's student body. Its main objective is to advocate for students' interests within the school community and advocate on their behalf. Acting as a direct channel, the HERD enables students to actively shape the school's operations by engaging with Kell's teachers, faculty, and staff. Additionally, comprised of Kell high school students, the HERD appoints representatives to oversee various activities, including organizing homecoming spirit days, coordinating the homecoming dance, and crafting class shirts.
