Ever meet someone who has made you want to give your best? Remember that one teacher who made you recognize how good you really were? Well, this is our Mrs. Amy Adams. Mrs. Adams is our Staff Spotlight for the week of August 9, 2021. 

Whether it is her commitment to our students or her leadership within our building, Mrs. Adams exhibits our school core values in so many ways.  She not only serves as the Band Director at our school, but also she serves as the Connections Department Chair and Connections Team Leader. From preparing our 8th grade students to perform on the Kennesaw Mountain High School football field or helping make sure students have experiences like the Disney field trip, Mrs. Adams is committed to our students. In addition, she mentors new teachers in the educational field and encourages collaboration around priority standards with her Cobb Collaborative Community. This summer she came to school to meet with new staff to help ensure they had a great welcome to our school. Mrs. Adams has also been helping lead our connections team with identifying the priority standards for each of their subject areas and helped restart planning for a more normal year by locking in our 2022 Disney trip for current 8th grade performing arts students.

We salute Mrs. Adams this week to thank her for all she does to make Pine Mountain a great place to teach, lead, and learn.
