A Message from Your Principal:
Pope students and families—What a fantastic start to the school year. Thank you, thank you, thank you! It has been so nice welcoming kids in the hallways each morning and experiencing our first spirit day today with “Beach Day”. There are great things happening at Pope High School and excitement is in the air. I want to extend a special congratulations to the Pope community for a 100% pass rate on End of Pathway Assessments (Audio Visual, Culinary, and Engineering/Technology). Well done. Pope students truly are achieving extraordinary success. I hope you all have a safe enjoyable weekend. Please review the important information below. Go Greyhounds!
X Block Dismissal (Wednesdays)
Students are dismissed at 2:10. Students remaining on campus must report to the cafeteria for supervised study hall by 2:15. Students that leave campus are NOT allowed to return to campus to ride the bus for safety/security reasons. Any student that leaves campus and returns and attempts to board a bus will receive a discipline referral for being out of area.
Open House will be Wednesday, August 17
Meet teachers, follow student schedules, sign up for PTSA as well as the Pope Foundation, attend PTSA General meeting and Principal Forum. Details will be sent next week.
Student Schedules
Our scheduling department has been working hard to level classes and the process is almost complete. Schedules are still subject change based on correcting errors. No changes will be processed for preference or requests at this time.

Cobb County Issued Devices (Laptops)
Pope High School expects district issued laptops to be a regular part of instructional practices by our teachers. If your student has not consistently used their county-issued laptop this summer, please have your student do the following:
- Plug the device in and turn on the power
- Login and connect to your home Wi-Fi
- Leave the computer on overnight to receive updates that were pushed out over the summer.
- If there is an issue with the updates, this device should be brought to Stampede or to the media center once school has started.
If you have not previously opted in for a laptop, please utilize ParentVUE to opt in for a device. Laptops will be distributed for new opt-ins during the first two weeks of school.

Please visit the Cobb Food and Nutrition Services webpage to complete the meal application for the 2022-2023 school year and to deposit funds into meal account.
