Camp Read A Lot

Powder Springs Elementary School will offer Camp Read A Lot for students who are enrolled at Powder Springs Elementary School.  Camp Read A Lot  will be held on Monday- Thursday at Powder Springs Elementary School from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the following dates:  

July 15-18, 2024

What is the purpose?

The purpose of Camp Read A Lot is to increase student readiness for grade level standards. Students will experience a preview for the next grade level in the areas of Reading, ELA, & Mathematics.

How much does it cost for my child to attend?

It is FREE for students to attend. Students must be enrolled at Powder Springs Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year.

What are the benefits?

Students will be introduced to grade level standards for their rising grade level. Classes taught by a certified teacher using reading and math workshop model.

Do I need to arrange transportation?

No! Transportation will be provided by CCSD transportation department.

Do I need to supply any materials?

No. All material and/or supplies will be provided to the student.

Is homework assigned?

There will be no homework assigned.

Will my child eat breakfast and lunch?

Yes! Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  

What do I need to do as a parent?

You will be asked to sign the attached contract in which you agree to your child attending Camp Read A Lot.
