Artist of the week this week is singer, Leslie Kavanaugh. She is a member of our advanced women’s chorus and mentors for the beginning class. Mrs. Cannon says, “Leslie works hard every day to grow as a singer and to help others grow as well. She has a beautiful voice, and she uses it to help inspire new chorus members as a chorus mentor. Leslie is an outstanding vocal musician.” Leslie has a few words for other singers who are starting their journey: “You should keep going if you’re passionate about it, even if you don’t think you sound super good. Make mistakes loud so that you know how to get better. Don’t over sing and push yourself to a point where it hurts.” Great advice, and great job, Leslie.
