This week’s artist is senior Avarie Ftiz. Averie has been doing art since the fifth grade and has loved it ever since. She spends a lot of her free time drawing, and especially enjoys drawing people. Mrs. Jackson says, “I chose Avarie because she is a talented artist. She came in this class having previous talent, but she shows an open mind in trying new skills to add to her existing toolbox of skills so that her art continues to improve and evolve.” Avarie plans to continue to draw as a side hobby in college. She has some words of encouragement for any aspiring artists: “Be open to learning new things because even if you think you might know how to draw something, there are still other ways to learn how to draw that same thing. It might even be better than what you can do now.” Great job, Avarie, and keep going.
