Allatoona’s artist of the week is junior Kaitlin Rash! She was chosen by assistant band director Mrs. Stephanie Grote. She says that “Our artist of the week is Kaitlin Rash. Kaitlin is an outstanding tuba player and percussion section leader! She is always eager to work hard and help others.” Kaitlin has been taking band since sixth grade; she recently started playing the tuba and doing percussion but used to play trumpet for five years. For Kaitlin, she says band is more of a hobby, she’d like to do band as more of a “side hustle” when she graduates. She’s made many friends in band, and her advice to younger students is, “Don’t overthink. Just don’t stress out about your instrument that much, because then you’ll end up not liking it.” Congratulations to artist of the week Kaitlin Rash. Allatoona is so proud of you and your passion for the arts!
